Some people call it body engraving, design or even adornment. Tattoos is fast becoming a rage in Nigeria as a form of style. Many tattoo parlour or salons are being opened up as it is becoming a lucrative business. Tattoos come in different forms such as roses, butterflies, maltese cross and any other designs that suits the person with the tattoo.

While some people see tattoos as a sign of recognition, others use it just to show off. In the traditional way, tattoos are used for identification and beautification. There are some beliefs that tattoos are demonic and even the christians say it is a sign of the devil to signify the end of the world. Moreso, the problems encountered in procuring tattoos range from infections to other unpleasant things. The thing about tattoo is that it gives an impression about the carrier or makes people judge them.

Tattoos which are usually worn in hidden places on the body are now being displayed on showy places. It is now the in-thing and is fashionable according to some people and even considered as a permanent jewelry.

The new regime of Babatunde Fashola is pioneered at re-structuring Lagos State to turn it into a Mega City. However, this has left some people smiling while some crying. The demolition of houses by the govenor has caused so much pain to the victims but is the action for a good cause?

A brief outline of all the projects that the governor has accomplished includes the reconstruction of roads, the Bus Rapid Transit, the drenching and removal of waste on our canal, the land use charge policy, property investigation exercise, demolition of houses under high tension wires. All these are done to implement the stated plan to turn Lagos into a Mega City.

Though it may seem as an act of cruelty but in actual sense it is a blessing in disguise. The Lagos State Governor will execute innovative plans and projects that has been deliberated and approved to promote the development of the state. Through this process, Lagos State can be a renowned tourist center attracting people from all over the world.
